Celebrating their 11th birthday they wanted to stay home and spent it with the family. We swam, had a cookout and a fun birthday cake. They both got new cell phones which they have been asking for months to get.
Tayler and Kimber had their end of year dance performance. They looked so cute and had so much fun being there after a year of weekly practice.
For the 4th of July we went to the Stadium of Fire in Provo. The kids were way excited to see the Jonas Brothers and She Daisey. We went with Grandma and Grandpa, Jim and Natalie, Lauren, Chloe, and Jake this year. The Fireworks Show was amazing as well as the Concert. This time of year we loved celebrating America!!!

And of coarse the 4th of July is never complete without going all out with the Red, White and Blue haircolor with glitter!!!
We decided to take a weekend trip to Park City with Kimber and Tayler. It was a much needed get away for all of us. We got a condo, went to the hot tub and to dinner that night. On Saturday we rode the Zip Line, Alpine Slide, Alpine Coaster and spent the day at Park City Mountain Resort.

Fathers day this year was celebrated at Grandpa and Grandma Covieos house. Grandpa worked all week in the backyard putting up a zipline of his own that goes from the big tree across to the shed. The kids had a blast trying it out....

San Francisco!!! Finally A Vacation
We decided to take a much needed vacation to San Francisco. Ben had never been there and i had not been there since High School Graduation...only a few years ago. We had a great time. The first day we took a Cable Car ride across town. This was the awesome view from the back of the car looking down at the Fishermans Wharf side. It was amazing how steep these streets are!
On Saturday, We went on a tour of Alcatraz. We rode a ferry boat across to the island and spent a few hours looking around at what the prison life was like there.
Friday we decided was our favorite day. We rented mountain bikes and did a 8 mile ride through town and across the Golden Gate Bridge. This was amazing. We ended up in a little fishing town and had lunch, walked around to the shops and then rode the ferry back to San Francisco. Neither of us have done anything like this ever and it by far was our favorite!
Of course what firefighter would not want to see the local truck at work. This was San Francisco Fire Department's TRUCK 2. Ben works Salt Lake City Fire TRUCK 2 so it was the sentimental moment of the trip and really fun to see. They still use wooden ladders that they make there on their Fire Department.
Just When You Think Enough is Enough!!!
Lilly our Cat had her Kittens...
Now this has been an experience and adventure for all of us... The week our cat Lilly was headed to the vet to be fixed she got outside for a few days.. well 63 days later... we had ourselves a few kittens!!! Of course the kids were so excited to help raise them and it really has not been too bad. Our friends Emily and Bruno had their hearts set on a pair of them from week two. When they were 8 weeks old Emily got the ok to take them home...The next day after finding out the Bruno had an allergy to cats, they were back with us. They ended up having a one night sleep over with Aunt Emily!!! We luckily have found a home for two of them and still have two left so if you or your kids are dying for another member to add to your family...... :}
